• After having participated in the killer 2nd Death Fast Open Air in Germany and headlined the 8th Metal Mania Open Air in Slovenia together with Exodus & Impaled Nazarene, AVULSED is ready for one more festival (as headliners as well) to close the summer festivals. This one is the 6th FilthRock Festival in Germany on 20th of September.
  
  The band has just finished the recording of a brand new track entitled "Breaking Hymens" that will be included in the upcoming 10-CD mega-compilation box-set devoted exclusively to Spanish extreme Metal bands. This compilation will include over 150 bands and will be released in November '08 through Xtreem Music. This new track is an exclusive recording for this compilation although it'll be re-recorded for their upcoming 5th album.   Regarding AVULSED's new album, for the first time we can reveal the title and album cover!! It's gonna be called "Nullo (The Pleasure of Self-mutilation)" and the artwork is one of the most bizarre, disturbing and even blaspheme covers the band ever got!! The responsible for this gory piece of art is the american artist Mike Hrubovcak who also worked for bands like Grave, Monstrosity, Cattle Decapitation, Mortician, XXX Maniak and tons of others.
  
  Recording sessions for the new album are starting on September 6th and will take at least 2 months to be completed, mixed and mastered, so a release date should be scheduled by the very end of '08 or early '09, again through slovak label Metal Age Prod. Some of the new song titles are the aforementioned" Breaking Hymens", "She's Hot Tonight (In My Oven)", "Chestblood"... and the style of the new compositions follow the band's trademarked style brutal and heavy yet catchy and somewhat melodic Death Metal with an even heavier sound this time. Just listen by to the new track and judge by yourself!!

• Tras haber participado en el gran 2º Death Feast Open Air en Alemania y encabezado el 8º Metal Mania Open Air de Eslovenia junto a Exodus, Impaled Nazarene, AVULSED están listos para un festival más (también como cabezas) para cerrar los festivales de verano. Se trata del 6º FilthRock Festival de Alemania el 20 de Septiembre.
  
  La banda acaba de finalizar la grabación de un nuevo tema titulado "Breaking Hymens" que será incluido en el inminente mega-recopilatorio de 10 CD's (que saldrá en caja limitada) dedicado exclusivamente a bandas españolas de Metal extremo. Esta recopilación incluirá 150 bandas y será editado en Noviembre através de Xtreem Music. Este nuevo tema es una grabación exclusiva para ésta recopilación y será re-grabado para su próximo 5º álbum.   En cuanto al nuevo álbum de AVULSED, por primera vez podemos revelar tanto el título como la portada del mismo!!   Las sesiones de grabación del nuevo álbum comienzan el 6 de Septiembre y durarán al menos 2 meses para ser completadas, mezcladas y masterizadas, con lo que la fecha de edición debería estar prevista para finales del '08 o principios del '09, de nuevo através del sello eslovaco Metal Age Prod. Algunos títulos de canciones con la la mencionada "Breaking Hymens", "She's Hot Tonight (In My Oven)", "Chestblood"... y la línea de las nuevas composiciones siguen el ya tradicional estilo de la banda de brutal y pesado a la vez que pegadizo y algo melódico Death Metal con un sonido mucho más pesado que antes. Mejor que escuches el tema y juzgues por tí mismo!!

• Yesterday night, our drummer Ricky suffered a loss of coscience and once in the hospital he remained in the Intensive Care Unit. It seems like he suffered a small brain stroke or something like that. this is, one of the veins was broken and some blood was spilled, so he need some surgery to take that blood out.
  
  At this point we don't know much about it, since he liked 200 km away, and this is the information provided to us by his girlfriend, but what it's sure is that we'll have to cancel the AVULSED performance at the DELIRIUM FESTIVAL that's taking place near Paris 8France) next Saturday 19th of April. Also, right now we're not sure if we'll be able to perform at the UNDERGROUND METAL FEST in Lyon (France) next saturday 26th of April as well. We still have to see how Ricky develops from this and then we'll see, although this really doesn't depend on us.
  
  We're very sorry for not being able to perform at the DELIRIUM FESTIVAL on which AVULSED was the headliner sharing the bill with quite some cool bands like HACRIDE + NO RETURN + DEGRADEAD + EMBRYONIC CELLS + HYSTHERESY + E-VICE. We hope our fans and the organizers will understand us in this critical situation and we really hope to play at next year's edition of the festival.
  
  
• Ayer por la noche, nuestro batería Riky sufrió una pérdida de consciencia y una vez en el hospital, permaneció en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Parece ser que sufrió un pequeño derrame cerebral producido por la rotura de una vena, con lo cual necesita de una intervención quirúrgica para extraer ésa sangre.
  
  Hasta el momento no sabemos mucho más, ya que él vive a 200 km de Madrid, y ésta es la información que nos ha dado su novia, pero lo que sí es seguro es que tenemos que cancelar la actuación de AVULSED en el DELIRIUM FESTIVAL que tiene lugar cerca de Paris (Francia) el próximo Sábado 19 de Abril. También, ahora mismo no sabemos si podremos tocar en el UNDERGROUND METAL FEST en Lyon (Francia) el siguiente Sábado 26 de Abril. Aún debemos ver cómo evoluciona Ricky y entonces veremos, aunque ésto realmente no depende de nosotros.
  
  Sentimos mucho por no poder tocar en el DELIRIUM FESTIVAL en el que AVULSED era la banda de cabeza compartiendo cartel con algunas bandas realmente buenas como HACRIDE + NO RETURN + DEGRADEAD + EMBRYONIC CELLS + HYSTHERESY + E-VICE. Esperamos que tanto nuestros fans como los organizadores nos entiendan en ésta crítica situación y realmente esperamos poder tocar en la edición del próximo año de dicho festival.
