HOLYCIDE ALREADY HAS A NEW 2nd GUITARIST!! (en español más abajo)
After
having undergone an important change in the band's lineup
during the last year where the bassist (Dani), one of the
guitarists (Miguel) and the drummer (Jorge) had to leave the
band due to different personal circumstances, Vicenta J Payá
joined on bass and Santiago Arroyo "GoG" on drums,
remaining as a quartet waiting to try out new guitarists to
occupy the position of the other guitar. This process has
lasted about three months, from July to September, and we
can announce that we have chosen an impressive guitarist who
we are sure will add more quality to the band!!

de Gran Canaria, where he has played in various local metal

After the recent release last month of the brand new EP "Bazookiller"
as a quartet, HOLYCIDE is fully immersed in the composition
of the next 3rd album that should be recorded in late 2023
and early 2024, to be released in spring and begin to play
the first shows with the new line-up and the new songs.

Tras
haber sufrido un importante cambio en la alineación

Este proceso ha durado unos tres meses, desde Julio hasta
Septiembre, y podemos anunciar que hemos elegido a un pedazo
de guitarrista impresionante que estamos seguros de que añadirá
más calidad a la banda!!

Unfortunately
we have to inform you that Miguel Bárez, HOLYCIDE's
guitarist since 2013, when the band was re-founded, and the
main pillar for this to happen, has decided to end his career
in HOLYCIDE. From the band we are eternally grateful
for your work and dedication, without which HOLYCIDE
would not be what it is today, one of the Spanish Thrash Metal
bands with the biggest projection. His professionalism, technique
and compositional talent have created the foundations of the
band's current sound, so we can only be grateful to him for
having spent 10 years of his life in HOLYCIDE and we
wish him the best of luck in his other musical projects.
Thus,
HOLYCIDE will be looking for a new guitarist to accompany
Salva Esteban in his work. Anyone interested who lives near

As
we write this, HOLYCIDE is finishing recording the
new EP which should be finished shortly for release in August.
After this, the band will immerse itself in an intense compositional
process for the 3rd album that would have to be recorded at
the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024. Once said album is released,
wherever and whenever it may be, HOLYCIDE will return
to the stage to continue destroying the stages with the new
formation!!

tenemos que comunicar que Miguel Bárez, guitarrista
de HOLYCIDE desde 2013, cuando la banda se refundó,

fin a su andadura en HOLYCIDE. Desde la banda le agradecemos
eternamente su trabajo y dedicación sin lo cual HOLYCIDE
no sería lo que es hoy día, una de las bandas
españolas de Thrash Metal con más proyección.
Su profesionalidad, técnica y talento compositivo han
creado las bases del sonido actual de la banda, así
que no podemos más que estarle agradecido por haber
empleado 10 años de su vida en HOLYCIDE y le
deseamos la mejor de las suertes en sus otros proyectos musicales.

Jorge Utrera is no longer
the drummer of HOLYCIDE (en español más abajo)
In
this life, everything has an end, and in this case, it is
about Jorge Utrera's career as a drummer for HOLYCIDE.
It has been a very difficult decision on his part, since it
has been 9 years where both he and the band have grown together,
but his difficulties in being able to balance his work, his
private life and the three main bands where he plays (HOLYCIDE,
AVULSED and HACHES), have made him have to make the decision
to leave HOLYCIDE (although he will continue in the
other two bands). It has been a departure on totally friendly
terms and in fact he will continue playing with the band in
the next two shows in June as a final farewell to HOLYCIDE.
From
HOLYCIDE, we can only eternally thank Jorge, his dedication
and all the moments spent together with the band, he is a
great musician, but above all, an incredible person with whom
it is very easy to live and relate, which in the long run
is the most important thing in a band.
Likewise,
HOLYCIDE is recording a new EP that will see the light
of day this summer, to be making mouths while they finish
composing the 3rd album for 2024, and it will also serve as
Jorge's farewell as a member of the band, although not as
a friend of the band. rest of members.

En
esta vida, todo tiene un final, y en este caso, se trata de
la trayectoria de Jorge Utrera como batería de HOLYCIDE.
Ha sido una decisión muy difícil por su parte,

banda hemos crecido juntos, pero sus dificultades para poder
compaginar su trabajo, su vida privada y las tres bandas principales
donde toca (HOLYCIDE, AVULSED y HACHES), han hecho que tenga
que tomar la decisión de abandonar HOLYCIDE
(aunque seguirá en las otras dos bandas). Ha sido una
marcha en términos totalmente amistosos y de hecho
seguirá tocando con la banda en los dos próximos
shows de Junio como despedida definitiva de HOLYCIDE.
Desde
HOLYCIDE, sólo podemos agradecer eternamente
a Jorge, su dedicación y todos los momentos vividos
juntos con la banda, es un músico muy grande, pero
sobre todo, una persona increíble con la que es muy
fácil convivir y relacionarse, lo que a la larga es
lo más importante en una banda.
Así
mismo, HOLYCIDE se encuentra grabando un nuevo EP que
verá la luz este verano, para ir haciendo boca mientras
se termina de componer el 3er álbum para 2024, y servirá
igualmente como despedida de Jorge como integrante de la banda,
aunque no como amigo del resto de miembros.
Desde
ya, HOLYCIDE se dispondrá a buscar un nuevo
batería que esté interesado en unirse a la banda.

Thrash Metal band HOLYCIDE, led by Dave Rotten
of AVULSED, has just revealed details for what will be their
second album that will be titled "Fist to Face",
whose cover art has been borne by Akirant Illustration,
known for being one of the current artists of IRON MAIDEN.
This new album will be released on February 14th, 2020 through
Xtreem Music on CD, 12 "LP and Cassette
formats, and also through MDD Rec. for the German
territory (G/A/S) and Spiritual Beast Rec. in
Japan (February 12th).
After the success obtained with
their 1st album "Annihilate... Then Ask!"
(2017), which was recently chosen as the best Thrash Metal
album of 2017 on Thrashmania website, where 126 albums
competed and surpassing in the final the very own KREATOR,
and with which they have positioned themselves among the leading
Thrash Metal bands on the spanish scene, having shared shows
and tours with bands such as FLOTSAM & JETSAM, ONSLAUGHT,
D.R.I., EXUMER, HELSTAR, GOD DETHRONED, the band returns with
an album which, contrary to what usually happens with bands
of the genre, does not look for more commercial formulas,
but quite the opposite! It is a more intense and aggressive
album, true Thrash Metal, where an excellent instrumental
technique and a varied and personal vocal work, are combined
with careful compositions full of arrangements, melodies,
intense riffs and catchy rhythms that make "Fist
to Face" a definitive step forward for HOLYCIDE.
Recorded again at Cadillac
Blood Studios with Andy C. at the controls,
the production is impeccable, combining the rawness of the
sound of the 80's with the force of sound prevailing today.
The impressive cover art has been done by Akirant Illustration,
who are currently working with IRON MAIDEN for a large part

what the fuck!! A Thrash Metal album deserves a Thrash Metal
artwork, haha!!
Even if the album will be released on Xtreem Music on 1st
of February 2017, we are conscious that this is the underground
and with such low and decreasing sales on physical formats,
labels can't afford to pay studio & artwork costs that
later will be difficult to recover, so we're financing everything
by ourselves. For a relatively new band like us, of course
it's quite some money, but we believe we're bringinig hell
of a fucking awesome album and hopefully with your help by
pre-ordering any of our items & combos, we'll get back,
if not all, at least a good part of what we're investing in
"Annihilate... Then Ask!".

HOLYCIDE se encuentra finalizando el proceso de mezcla y masterización
del debut álbum completo "Annihilate... Then Ask!"
que será una total locura para todos los amantes del
buen viejo Thrash al estilo de los '80.
"Annihilate... Then Ask!" contiene 9 nuevos temas
y una versión de los legendarios Thrashers americanos
DÉTENTE, grabado en los Blood Cadillac Studios con
Andy C. que también se encarga de la mezcla y masterización.
El arte de la portada ha corrido a cargo del conocido artista
Andrei Bouzikov (Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, Skeletonwitch...)
y es también un dibujo a estilo total mente de los
'80! Estuvimos pensando en hacer una portada post-moderna
transcendental y asbtracta llena de significado intelectual,
pero... qué cojones!! Un álbum de Thrash Metal
merece un arte Thrash Metal, jaja!!
Aunque el álbum será editado en Xtreem Music
el 1 de Febrero de 2017, somos conscientes de que esto es
el underground y con tan bajas y decrecientes ventas en formatos
físicos, los sellos no se pueden permitir pagar costes
de estudio y arte que luego difícilmente van a recuperar,
así que estamos financiando todo nosotros mismos. Por
supuesto, para una banda relativamente nueva como nosotros,
esto es bastante dinero, pero creemos que estamos pariendo
un álbum increíble y ojalá que con vuestra
ayuda haciendo pre-pedidos de nuestros artículos y
combos, recuperemos, si no todo, al menos una buena parte
de lo que estamos invirtiendo en "Annihilate... Then
Ask!".

reveals album cover for new album!! (en español más abajo)
Here it is!! The album cover of the upcoming debut full length
album by HOLYCIDE “Annihilate... Then Ask!”. Made
by renowned artist Andrei Bouzikov (Municipal
Waste, Toxic Holocaust, Skeletonwitch...) it’s a total
thrasher cover!! The album is completely recorded now and
is on mixing process. We can assure you it’ll beat our
previous EP, a fucking killer album!!
Release date is planned for January 2017, but we’ll keep
you informed about more concrete plans. By the end of September
we’ll launch a crowdfunding campaign trying to get funds
to cover all studio and artwork expenses, so if you want to
support HOLYCIDE on this, you’ll be more than welcome.

Aquí está!! La portada del inminente álbum

Waste, Toxic Holocaust, Skeletonwitch...) es una portada totalmente
Thrasher!! El álbum está completamente grabado
y se encuentra en proceso de mezcla. Podemos aseguraros que
superará nuestro previo EP, un álbum jodidamente
asesino!!
La fecha de edición está prevista para Enero
de 2017, pero os mantendremos informados sobre planes más
concretos. A finales de Septiembre lanzaremos una campaña
de crowdfunding para tratar de obtener fondos que cubran los
gastos de estudio y portada, así que si quieres apoyar
