Rotten
Sound was formed in the spring of 1993 by guitarist Mika Aalto.
Rotten Sound made few releases with few different line-outs to different
independent Punk/HC labels around between 1993 and 1996 before the band
was ready to step further and make the first full-lenght CD. This full-lenght
was made for Spanish Repulse records and is titled "Under Pressure".
This debut-CD consists of 22 tracks of speed and ferocity. The debut sales
was around 2000 copies, if also the licenced LP and MC sales are counted
in.
Rotten Sound continued working with new material for Repulse after the
debut CD and also found a new member in the band: Juha Ylikoski to play
lead guitar.
The outcome of this work and change is the brand new CD release: "Drain".
The CD was recorded in the world-famous Sunlight Studios to get some new
spices in the production side too.
Drain consist of 15 new songs with a lot of variety. One can find there
the roots - crust/grind - and also different metal styles, like Death
and Black mixed all together. Now the band is under pressure of getting
a stable seat within the extreme underground bands around.
