BIOGRAPHY

Think again!! How many Death Metal bands do you know from Japan?? Listen to his band and tell us if this is not the best band ever emerged from that country!! So we don't exaggerate if we say this is the best Japanese Death Metal band ever!! Their perfect combination of brutality and catchy melodies makes them attractive for any quality Death Metal fan.

INTESTINE BAALISM was born in the spring of 1991 by Seji Kakuzaki (guitar/vocals) and Takeshi Ohkouchi (drums). At that time they played Thrash Metal and were called EUTHANASIA. In the spring of 1992, one of Seiji's school mates Katsumasa Yoshida joined on bass and they started rehearsing and writing songs. That winter they recorded a demo, but it was never released because they decided not to play Thrash anymore and they threw out all of their old songs and wrote some real Death Metal stuff. During the winter of 1993, Osanu Somenoya from ADMUSCIAS joined on guitar and started doing gigs, but in spring of 1994 he quit and returned to his previous band.

The others continued playing gigs and changed their monicker to INTESTINE BAALISM. In the fall of 1994 they recorded four of their newest songs for their first official demo untitled "The Energumenus". That demo was sold over 500 copies so far. That winter Atsushi Miyata from DECAPITATION joined on guitar.

Intestine Baalism liveAfter that, the band began to look for a label to release a mini CD, and they dealed with REPULSE RECORDS, but their new material impressed R.R. so much and the negotiations ended in an album with such label. The result is "An Anatomy of The Beast" CD, just listen and appreciate every moment of this awesome, powerful, and refreshing Death Metal from the east!!.

The fantastic cover art has been made by the famous Danish artist Joe Petagno, who uses to paint most of MOTÖRHEAD covers, as well as many others like AVULSED, INCANTATION, S.O.D. Mag, UNLORD, etc.
