GOTHIC SEX is a band from Zaragoza (Spain) founded in 1988 by Lady Gothic (drums, bass and vocals) & Lord Gothic (guitar and vocals), with the help of Dr. Van Helsing on the bass & Metal Storm on guitars on their live shows.

Its discography began in 1989 with a 7"Ep entitled "El Frenesí". In 1992 the band's first videotape is released under the name of "Lord Gothic" containing live performances and various video-clips. In 1993 the band releases a split CD entitled "Ritualis Mortis". The next release was 1994's "Divided We Fall".

A second videotape, called "The Video-Clips Of The Shadows Of Torture", was released in 1996. It was a compilation of video-clips collecting their complete discographical career to date. That same year, in October, is released its third long-play "Moonrise". 1997 is the year when the band evolves to a more metallic style mixed with a strong gothic sound.

This is showed on the CD-Rom "Laments". For the end of the millennium GOTHIC SEX gives birth to a Dark Metal album entitled "Rarities", an updated remake of the more outstanding tunes from the band in combination with live songs extracted from one of the best shows that the group has made in this decade, performed at the Hard Club in Porto (Portugal).
Their works are currently being released in a simultaneous way by three completely different labels: AUSFAHRT MV (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), NIGHTBREED REC. (Great Britain) and REPULSE RECORDS (rest of the world).

Their musical trajectory is attested by more than 200 live shows in countries like Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Argentina, Spain... GOTHIC SEX's live music has always been supported by a show based on ironic performances about religion, perversion, false morality, cruelty, absurd violence... creating symbols and representations of all these themes through gore-fx and a bizarre aesthetic.

The shows consist of murders, disembowelments, mutilations, flagellations, resurrections, castrations, abortions, coronations and a great number of theatrical acts in which it's essential to use imagination and not reality. The main purpose of the band has always been to offer a rich spectacle mixing both musical and visual sensations through a daring and risky performance that originates an unavoidable controversy and polemic among the audience and media. GOTHIC SEX is conscious that their shows are not pleasant to everybody, because this depends on the way that people understand things. For good or bad, it's their own risk!!!
