ADRAMELECH
was formed back in march 1991 by Jani Aho (guitar), Jarkko Rantanen (guitar,
vocals) and Jussi Tainio (drums). A rehearsal tape entitled human extermination
was soon released. In june 1991, Tuomas Ala-Nissilä (vocals) and
Erik Parviainen (guitar) joined the band and another rehearsal tape was
released. It remained nameless and unreleased. Late 1991 Jani and Jarkko
left the other guys 'cause of total musical incongruence. All had to be
started anew. The remaining duo had to get drums. After that matter had
been solved, Jarkko began his career as a drummer. Soon the band got a
third member, as Mikko Aarnio (bass) joined ADRAMELECH. With this line-up,
they visited in a studio the very first time in march 1992. This demo
entitled grip of darkness contained four songs, recorded at Amr-studio
in Viiala. The demo tape got Adipocere Records (Fra) interested, and they
offered a deal for one 7". ADRAMELECH returned to Amr-studio in august
1992, after they had played their first gig in Riihimäki with Euthanausea,
Beherit, DEMILICH
and Crypt of Kerberos (Swe). "Spring of Recovery" 7"EP was released late
1992.
Jussi lost his interest in ADRAMELECH, and the ways aparted spring 1993.
Soon after that, Seppo Taatila joined ADRAMELECH. The line-up was Jani
Aho (guitar), Seppo Taatila (guitar), Mikko Aarnio (bass) and Jarkko Rantanen
(drums, vocals).
Finally,
the band decided to travell all the long way to Kemi, to record a demo
in november 1994 at Tico-Tico studio. This demo, "The
Fall", was a real turn for the better for the band. After numerous
record labels had got their copy, REPULSE RECORDS (Spa) showed interest
in ADRAMELECH. They released "The Fall"
on 3"MCDformat to promote the first full lenght album. The contract for
the album was signed summer 1995.
December
1995, it was time to use nine hours in a train again to get to Kemi. Eight
songs were recorded, but the project wasn't ready yet. Mikko and Jarkko
made a come back to Kemi in january 1996, to mix the album. The album
entitled "Psychostasia" was released
summer 1996 after many problems with the cover artwork. February 1997,
Jarkko was woken up by a phone call.
REPULSE RECORDS offered a chance to join Repulsive Tour 1997 . After some
organising ADRAMELECH was ready to join the tour. Mikko was in the army,
he couldn't make it. Jussi Kiiski (guitar) joined the band for the tour.
Jarkko took the vacancy of bass-player. In october 1997 ADRAMELECH recorded
mcd "Seven", including two new
songs, two live tracks from Repulsive Tour '97 recorded in Hengelo (Hol),
and a new version of "Ancestral Souls", which has also a new title, "Captured
in Eternal Lost".
The next project
for ADRAMELECH is going to be the second full lenght album, which will
also be released by REPULSE RECORDS.
