Die werden wohl nie arbeitslos. Mit „Gorespattered Suicide” geben
sich die Spanier erneut die Ehre. Es handelt sich dabei mittlerweile
um die 15 VÖ (sämtliche Demos, EPs etc. einbezogen) seit der Gründung
im Jahre 1991. Und was gibt es hier: tja, weiterhin das bekannte
„voll in die Fresse –brutalo death metalische Ding“. Avulsed eben!
Es gibt außer der gelungenen Coverversion von „Ace of Spades“ keine
großen Überraschungen. Aber ich meine: „Gut so“. Mit der Coverversion
bringen sie eben noch eine Portion mehr Groove rein und erzeugen
eine geile grindige Lemmy-Stimmung. Keine Ahnung wie oft dieser
Song schon im Metalerkreisen gecovert wurde, aber mein Gott warum
nicht, es ist den Jungs gelungen und es passt als letzter Track
der Scheibe. In diesem Zusammenhang möchte ich noch allen die Mini-CD
„Bloodcovered“ mit 5 Coversongs von 2001 ans Herz legen. Ja, die
Jungs haben auch ihren Spaß mit Huldigungen an ihre „Idole“.
Was soll man sonst noch dazu sagen, schließlich kennt man die Qualitäten
und diese Musikart sehr gut. Coole technische Riffs, die schnell
ins Ohr gehen, sowohl Midtempo als auch blusting Doubelbass sind
weiterhin Programm und eine Growlstimme, die durchaus mit dem Kollegen
Oliver (Obscenity) verglichen werden darf, sick and tight. Aber
wie schon erwähnt, diese Faktoren kennen wir ja schon und müssen
nicht mehrmals wiederholt werden. Und die Produktionen aus dem Studio
von Erik Rutan dürften auch einen gewissen Bekanntheitsgrad haben.
Fazit: Weitere hörenswerte Scheibe der Spanier, die wohl nie müde
werden. Somit Death Metal der alten Schule mit viel Groove, Aggressivität
und einer Menge brutaler Energie. „Gorespattered Suicide“ dürfte
den neuen und alten Death Fans als auch den Grind Fans etwas Zeit
vertreiben................und das Splattercover spricht für sich.
